A Licence to punt!! If the Federal Government gets its way, every Australian will have to apply for a licence just so they can have a $5 punt. Let the Federal Government know that you don’t support the licence to punt by emailing your MP and signing the petition at www.wontworkwillhurt.com.au Gillard’s Laws wont help problem gamblers but they will hurt our community.
Problem gambling is an important issue and we all agree it needs to be addressed, but the Gillard Government’s proposed new laws won’t work and won’t help problem gamblers.
Gillard’s new laws will cost pubs and clubs billions of dollars and will force many out of business. It will also drastically reduce club and pub revenue. The flow-on effect of this will impact your community.
